Is Baltimore the basketball capitol of the world? If you ask KD, it is. This special KD18 honors the DMV’s deep hoop lore, taking its inspiration from the 1997 Air Bakin' that came out of the same hoop-crazed backyard as KD. A combo of Air Zoom cushioning and Nike Air gives him unreal responsive cushioning. And we poked holes all over the upper to so he can hoop all day, whether he’s back home in the summer or on center stage.

A big forefoot Air Zoom unit offers a different level of velocity when exploding, either on the dead run or out of a standstill position. It offers a different level of snappy pop when the game revs up.

The bottom layer of the upper has Nike Air cushioning at the heel to add a pop in your step. A strong plastic plate directly underfoot conforms as you flex. It works with the forefoot Air Zoom unit to give you a snappy first step while also providing support and stability.
