Nike's 'Freddy Krueger' SB Dunk is the spookiest sneaker that never was

The legendary status of the Nike SB Dunk Low 'Freddy Krueger' endures. Making its way to stores in 2007 with a trail of hacking and slashing, the Freddy Dunk was initially part of the infamous 'Horror Pack,' alongside the 'Jason Voorhees' SB Dunk High and the 'Dawn of the Dead' Air Trainer 1.

Regrettably, New Line Cinema, the rights holder to Nightmare on Elm Street, got wind of the release and swiftly issued a cease and desist order. Nevertheless, a few rebellious pairs of the Freddy Dunks still roam our streets! 

A couple pairs were smuggled from the factory by employees prior to their destruction. Additionally, one small skate shop in Mexico mistakenly sold a few pairs early. 

‍As a result of the legal battle and the subsequent slip ups, there are reportedly only 30 pairs of the Krueger Dunks left in circulation. With an estimated worth of $30,000 a pair, they've even been spotted on notorious sneakerhead and Nike legend Travis Scott
