SURFRIDER FOUNDATION JAPAN
The Surfrider Foundation has its roots in voluntary water quality monitoring activities at surf spots initiated by surfers in California. It was established in California in 1984. Today, it operates as an international environmental NGO active in 10 countries, primarily in the United States. In Japan, activities began in 1993, and it became a general incorporated association in 2011.
