ABOUT THE “POLO BEAR”
In the 90s, Ralph Lauren was given a Richard Steiff teddy bear wearing a full Ralph Lauren outfit. Instantly inspired, Ralph Lauren released the first “Preppy Bear” that sold out instantly, in 1991.

The iconic bear entered the hip hop world, when Brooklyn based "The Lo-Life Crew", wanted to portray the lavish luxe lifestyle and aesthetic of PRL.

In 1994 Raekwon wore the Polo Ralph Lauren bear in the music video for Wu-Tang Clan’s ‘Can It All Be So Simple’.  In the 2000s Kanye West wore the Polo Bear on the album cover ‘College Dropout'. Plus rappers such as Chance The Rapper and Drake have all worn the "Polo Bear".
