Taking a modern approach to traditional denim, Neuw Denim was born in the capital of Belgium in 1960. Eventually relocating to Australia, the label takes inspiration from 1950s denim culture and the iconic figures who embodied the spirit of independence and individuality.
Although the label is no stranger to traditional techniques like grinding and sandblasting, they have taken a modern and innovative approach to denim with their signature Black Weft. Whether its using black selvedge or black rope dying techniques on their pieces, Neuw Denim strives to bring the "dark decadent look of leather and suede jackets to jeans" through new concepts and procedures.
With cuts and fits reminiscent of those worn by some of the world's most noted musicians and rebel icon's like Iggy Pop and Lou Slim, the FW 2015 collection of Neuw Denim is now available in-store at NRML (184 Rideau).
