Converse and famed graffiti artist, Futura, have joined forces for the first collaboration featuring the new Chuck II. This collection takes Chuck II’s technological advances a step further by adding a weatherized rubber upper adorned with the artist’s original artwork. They also come with a second set of Lunlarlon foot-beds enhanced with Futura’s artwork.

Featuring original artwork by the legendary Brooklyn-based artist, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Futura Collection takes the technological and comfort advances of Chuck II a step further with the addition of new veneering and Converse weatherized rubber, creating a sneaker that is truly ready for more. Designed for both function and fashion, the collection combines Futura’s iconic abstract art style with a weather-ready sneaker, apparel and accessories collection that’s built for the next generation of self-expression.

A pioneer in graffiti art, Futura’s work is synonymous with ingenuity, originality and the NYC downtown art scene of the early '80s. His work over the last 30 years has transitioned from the street, to the subway, and today into galleries all around the world. The new collection features camo printed rip-stop underlay and Futura’s distinct graphic artwork on the sneaker’s upper, lace and midsole. Available in both hi-top and ox, the Chuck II Futura has water resistant full rubber uppers and reflective laces. The Chuck II’s characteristic Nike Lunarlon sockliner received its own graphic treatment and each sneaker includes a second set of foot-beds with collectible art.

“I wanted to create a Chuck II that embodied my approach to art and life,” said Futura, aka Lenny McGurr. “From the camo to the weatherized rubber, this collection is made for function and style, for getting out on the streets and unleashing your creativity. I’m honored to have the first opportunity to riff on the Chuck II silhouette.”

The Converse x Futura Chuck Taylor All Star II is now available at NRML (184 Rideau) and Select (318 Richmond) while quantities last!
