Juno award-winner and fellow Canadian Belly has been steadily making a name for himself and his city for some time. With over a decade of experience Belly has staked his claim in the music industry, from launching CP Records with his business partner in 2002, to going #1 on Much Music’s video charts with his first single in 2007. After spending some time away from the mic to focus on writing, producing and working with other respected artists, Belly returned last year with the mixtape ‘Up For Days’, which included features from some of today’s biggest and best, like Travis Scott, Juelz Santana, French Montana, and of course The Weeknd. Last November it was announced the Canadian rapper had signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation, which went on to release his latest work, ‘Another Day in Paradise’. A hometown hero from the start, find Belly back in town this Sunday July 10performing on the City Stage at this year’s Ottawa’s Bluesfest.
